Friday morning arrived too early and as I glanced outside and saw rain I wondered if the Reigate Farmer's Market would be a wash out. It's quiet there at the moment, only half a dozen stalls, but we were appreciated by the friendly locals last time so off I set.
I needn't have worried, as the stall went up the sun came out. Samples spread to entice the taste buds and we were ready for the off! It didn't take long as those en route to work popped over to say hello and have a tasty treat to start their Friday. It always makes my day when they pop back at lunchtime to choose a jar (or two) to take home.
A few visitors to the stall said I'd got too much variety in the product range, that they were spoilt for choice, they'd not realised it was a cunning ploy to encourage them to return the following month to try something different. It worked last month as it was great to welcome back our first repeat business.
I can't believe how quickly time flies, our first month of trading has been incredible. We cautiously hoped people would like the products and are delighted as it seems they most definitely do!
If you're keen to try then do let us know details of any local craft fairs or markets. We're looking to venture further afield next year. admin@foragersfinest.com

We're going to be adding recipes next year too - where our chutneys and jellies add that extra zing, richness, tang, fruitiness, ooomph, touch, or 'something' to our favourite dishes.
But for now we really do know that all our chutneys, especially the spiced damson, work really well with cold turkey, so are great for Boxing day! A spoon of sloe jelly stirred in to a chicken gravy... really does add a fruity richness.
If you've tried jellies with a Swiss roll, steamed sponge, game casserole (yes many are just as good sweet or savoury) then do let us know. Or if you've been tempted to ditch the mango chutney with your poppadum's in favour of lavender and lemon, or have pepped up a pot roast with a spoon of plum and pear chutney then do share!
In our next blog we'll be announcing the winner of our car sticker competition, and letting you know how to get your hands on one too.
Hope to see you soon
