New Year, New Products, New Dates!

I hope everyone has now recovered from any over indulgence during the festive period. We thought we had here and then it was full systems ahead for a new Elderflower Jelly, we dried some flowers last year and in our early attempts to achieve consistency of delightful taste experience it was necessary to  develop a range of tests: Crumpet Criterion Confirmation, Toast Taste Try-out and Scone Scrutiny! 

Finally after at least half a stone gained we're there, our new Elderflower Jelly made with dried flowers tastes every bit as delightful as earlier versions made with fresh. Our other recent addition, the onion marmalade caused the first email to bring panic in the Foragers Household. The title read..."Complaint about Onion Marmalade!'  Thankfully the complaint was that the jars are just too small and we were able to organise speedy replenishment of supplies in time for Christmas.

Just as we have had success with the Elderflower Jelly, we have thrown in the towel with website version 1! It's back to the drawing board, but in the meantime if anyone wants to order any products do get in touch and we can work out P&P and give you a bespoke, personal, friendly service.  As the new site takes shape we'll let you know and ask for volunteers to try it out!

Within the new site will be some of the recipes we've developed using Foragers Finest products.  Starters, fish courses, main courses, desserts and accompaniments for cheeses will be included.  We've already got plans underway for our first Foragers Finest Recipe Book too!

At the end of the year we discovered our small gift bags, great for choosing your own two jars to give to someone special.  With Valentines Day and Mother’s Day coming up what better way to show someone you care. Our most exciting news this year is our new regular venue the weekly Oxted Market takes place each Monday at Oxted Community Hall from 9am until 1pm. Our first Monday Market of 2012 is Monday February 6th! 

We are also back at Reigate Farmers Market on the 4th Friday of each month, do come and say Hello and have a taste!
