Thank you! To everyone who tasted Foragers Finest Products this weekend

It's been a super couple of days; having been so nervous that no one would appreciate the taste of a lemon and lavender chutney, or would welcome a sloe in another form to the more traditional winter warming sloe gin and that possibly the chilli'd apple jelly would be just too chilled - it seems I needen't have worried!

We've had such a warm reception from the many people who visited Hillcroft School on Friday, braving the foggy evening to attend their annual Christmas Shopping night. We forgot to say as it's SO local - anyone wishing to re-order can drop us an email and we'll deliver free of charge. The same applies to anyone visiting us at the Whyteleafe School Christmas Fair on Saturday December 3rd.

The weather on Saturday, as we discovered the delightful village of Warnham, was much improved.  The fair was a great success with lots of happy cutomers and the most amazing coffee and walnut cake ever to be tasted (according to Mrs Forager!) The only downside of the day was in packing up we forgot to get more cake to bring home.

We completely sold out of lemon & lavender chutney and we're down to the last jar of lavender jelly - so the creation of another batch began last night and was set to drip before heading off to the cinema.

After a morning out clay shooting it's time to head off to see my Mother, so will sign out feeling tired but incredibly happy.  It seems there really is life after redundancy and I hope anyone eating hedgerow jelly on scones for tea, tasting spiced damson chutney on their cheese on toast or enjoying a cracker with a spread of blackberry butter  - in fact anyone tasting a ForagersFinest feast in a pot is smiling too!
